Take a walk up the canyon along well-maintained paths. There are several waterfalls including a short tunnel to get a closer view of one waterfall. Further up (about 5.6 km) are some bubbling, colorful Ink Pots (natural warm springs). - 278 km (7 km)
Muleshoe picnic area. Watch for mountain sheep through this area. They will often come right down to the road. - 283 km (2 km)
Bow Valley Parkway joins Trans-Canada Highway. You need to go under the Trans-Canada Highway to get to the southbound lane. But be careful, there is a Texas gate which is hard to cross on a bike. I usually walk my bike across the gate. - 285 km (0 km)
