The -μι verbs
- The verbs in this conjugation are different from the -ω verbs only in the present, imperfect, and second aorist forms.
- The forms of the future, first aorist, perfect, and aorist passive are like the -ω verbs we have studied.
- The -μι verbs have reduplication of the stem with ι instead of ε which we saw in the perfect tense.
- The stem of δίδωμι is -δο-; of ἵστημι is -στα-; of τίθημι is -θε-
- The original σίστημι has become ἵστημι
- The primary active endings are: -μι, -ς, -τι (or -σι), -μεν, -τε, -ασι
- Throughout the New Testament the -μι verbs are found in compound form (i.e., a preposition added to the front of the verb) and will change the meaning somewhat.

I John 2:7-11
1Come, see the works of the LORD, who has put wonders on the earth. --Psalm 46:8 (45:8 LXX)
